Meatloaf one would think is very American, its origins actually in a German colonial dish of minced pork mixed with cornmeal.
Italians cook it a lot as well and in this rendition the cultures blend deliciously with the American classic.
Not only does it taste delicious but it is foolproof, moist every time.
The leftovers reheat as if just cooked and Italians love to serve it with roasted potato wedges.
Ingredients:1 lb – sausage, cooked and diced 1 lb – ground turkey 2 – eggs 14 oz – can diced tomatoes 1/2 cup – onion, chopped 1 tbsp – parsley 1/2 cup – Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup – tomato sauce
1) Preheat oven to 375F.
2) Beat eggs and stir in other ingredients except meats.
3) Mix in meats just until blended.
4) Place meat in 8×8″ glass baking pan.
5) Bake 1 hour.
6) Top with tomato sauce and bake 15-30 min more.
7) Let stand 10 min. before serving.
